Rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Serbian Railways Business Building in Belgrade was completed after three years of work.

"Infrastructure of Serbian Railways", this job worth about 292 million dinars, was realized on the basis of the Agreement on joint financing and distribution of costs to all users of the Business Building in Nemanjina 6, it is stated in the announcement.

As part of the entire renovation of the facade, which lasted 36 months, the horizontal and vertical gutters were adapted and the complete carpentry was replaced.

Conservation supervision for the rehabilitation of facades was done by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of the City of Belgrade, and expert supervision was entrusted to the Traffic Institute CIP. Main contractor on remediation

The works started at the beginning of September 2019 took place in three phases. The handover of the completed work is expected in mid-February this year. The project for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Serbian Railways Business Building was prepared by the Traffic Institute CIP.

The business building of the Serbian Railways in Belgrade, in Nemanjina Street 6, ie the former Ministry of Transport, was determined as a cultural asset of the Republic of Serbia by a decision of the Government of Serbia in 2007.

This monumental building was built from 1927 to 1931, according to the project of the renowned architect Svetozara Jovanović.
