In July 2021, 3,289 contracts were concluded in Belgrade, 1,039 in Southern and Eastern Serbia, and 3,375 in Šumadija and Western Serbia. For the sake of comparison, in July 2019, the total number of concluded contracts for the sale of real estate was 10,622, and in July 2020, 12,252. In July, there were 14,228 real estates, of which 5,035 were land transactions, 3,579 were buildings and 5,614 were special parts of buildings.
Dominant cash payment
The amount of money on the market in July amounted to 503.9 million euros. The dominant payment was cash, in 85% of realized transactions.
Special parts of buildings are more often paid from loans, than other types of real estate. In July, that amounted to 31 percent of the total number of traded special parts of the facilities. The land was paid for in 99% of the turnover in cash. Apartments are paid more often from loans, so in July, 34% of apartments were paid with credit funds.
Apartments in Belgrade are the most paid from credit funds (39 percent), followed by Vojvodina (38 percent), while the smallest share of credit financing of apartments was in Šumadija (24 percent).
